Repos back online

Thanks to everybody who donated we now have enough to pay the bills and bring the repo back online.

Hopefully we won't have to do that again any time soon. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Repositories shut down until further notice

I'm sorry to say, after getting this months bandwidth bill in for wine-doors.org I'm going to have to pull the package repositories until I can raise about $200 to pay off my bandwidth bills.

Its been costing too much for too long without anyone chipping in a penny but me and a few straggled donators.

Thanks for any and all contributions.

Wine-Doors 0.1.3 (Rioja) released!

Finally its time to release Wine-Doors (Rioja) 0.1.3!

This is not just a bugfix release, this release includes many new features (like setting wine colours to match your GTK theme) and packages (like Spotify and Photoshop CS2) also.

The package format has also changed to make package maintenance easier and it won't be changing again until 0.2 (sorry for the 0.1.2 breakage everyone).

A tarball, .debs and .(s)rpms are available in the downloads section. Enjoy!

Spotify on Wine-Doors

Spotify is now on Wine-Doors:

If you've not tried it, I'd highly recommend it. Spotify is an online music service similar to napster with an iTunes-ish UI, Last.fm support, a pretty decent selection of songs and it runs great under Wine-Doors. What more could you ask for?

Oh, and BTW: I have 8 invites left granting FREE access, contact me on the mailing list if you want one.

UPDATE: Spotify invites cannot be used by people living in the US.

Webserver blues

The wine-doors webserver has been taking a hammering recently. Burning through about 100Gb of bandwidth in a couple of weeks. That's a little more than twice the speed it should. But more than that, I've used 40Gb since the bandwidth monthly reset and that was 3 days ago.

Something was obviously wrong with either the trac or wordpress or something else on the server. I've trimmed everything back to the bare essentials now. We're going to have to go with drupal full time unless drupal is causing this bug :/

New website

Welcome to our new website, it's about time we put some effort into this and things have come together really quickly, thanks to Andy and Sams dedication to getting it up and running...

We're not finished yet though. Sam is currently working on building our Application Database. This is in development with the hopes that it will be ready by the time 0.2 comes out in the mean time we're looking to integrate this drupal installation with trac via XML-RPC in order to provide a cleaner more consistent website overall.
