Video demos of wine-doors in action. The version displayed is 0.1.2.

[image here] We install some fonts autohotkey and wine-gecko on firstrun, wine-gecko works nicely for 90% of html rendering cases. (Ogg Theora 1Mb, YouTube version here)

[image here] Installing internet explorer 6, with plenty of dependency resolution, very quickly! (Ogg Theora 2.6Mb, YouTube version here)

The first time wine-doors is executed it will build up a basic wine-drive. Currently this includes installing the most important of the microsoft corefonts, winegecko and mozilla activex control. Only one non-free component is included visual C++ runtime. [image here]

[image here] The installer interface now gives much more detail in the list and is much bigger, and 3 lists will be available to show. Installed Applications, Available Applications and the Install Queue. In the available applications list installed applications will be excluded unless a new version is available. I will also add a list item for the user to execute the application from the list if it is installed.

Also to be included is a filtering system, the filter is blazingly fast and will filter as you type. You can also use the filter to select applications by category or repository. [image here]

[image here] Wine-doors is already capable of installing lots of Applications, and its pretty easy to build your own and share it. Some bugs still exist and we’re working on fixes for them. We also perform dependency resolution - If I select halflife 2 for install, steam and tahoma font are also installed automatically.

Here’s apple trailers running on quicktime and opera, HD playback also works but requires a fairly fast system to get reasonable performance. [image here]
